Hello fellow readers,
I will be showing you my maths. We had to write down what we notice and wonder. Here is my maths
I am a Year 7 student in the Uru Mānuka Cluster. This is a place where I will share my learning. Please note that some of it will not be complete, it will be my first drafts. Remember to be positive, thoughtful and helpful when you leave me a comment.
To support my learning I ask you to comment as follows:
1. Something positive - something you like about what I have shared.
2. Thoughtful - A sentence to let us know you actually read/watched or listened to what I had to say
3. Something helpful - how have you connected with my learning? Give me some ideas for next time or ask me a question.
Hi Rye,
ReplyDeleteWell done for completing your maths. How did you know that there were 35 skittles in the array?
Thank you for commenting on my blog. This how I got 35, so I did 6 x 6 because there 6 vertically and horizontally, and I got 36 then I did 36 - 1 because there was no purple one, and I got 35. I hope that makes sense. Bye!
DeleteHi Rye,
ReplyDeleteI really like how you added all the skittles together to get 35, when I looked at it I was also wondering why there are only 5 purple skittles and by the way how did you get 35 did you times it add what method did you use to get 35.
Hi Rye. I have enjoyed looking at your maths and seeing what you notice and wonder. How did you work out home many there were in total - what was your strategy? I also wondered why there were only five purples ones - I think somebody may have eaten one!
ReplyDeleteGood morning Rye.I think working with lollies is a great way to learn subtraction. That way,you could eat the lollies that you 'took away'.Just make sure though that you are using lollies that you like to eat.
ReplyDeleteWhat would be the quickest way for me to count the m&m's?.
Have a great weekend.
