How To Make Ginger Beer

How to make ginger beer

Equipment
  • Yeast
  • Sugar
  • Tea spoon
  • Spoon
  • Popsicle stick
  • Warm water
  • Cup
  • Table spoon
  • Ginger
  • Lemon juice
Instructions :
  1. Get your equipment
  2. Put the yeast inside the cup
  3. Put a tea spoon of sugar in the cup
  4. Then pour the warm water
  5. Mix the concoction
  6. Then squirt lemon juice
  7. Put 2 tea spoons of sugar
  8. Mix it again
  9. Wait for 24 hours
  10. Taste and describe the drink
Results :
It was salty, bitter and spicy.

In 2019, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern promised to unseal and re-enter the mine.

Red Cabbage Indicator

I want to find out how to tell if somethings is a acid

Method :

Equipment

  • Beaker
  • Red cabbage
  • Test tubes
  • Hot water
  • Acid
  • Hydroxide
  • Dropper 
Instructions :
  1. Get your equipment
  2. Shred the cabbage
  3. Put the shredded cabbage inside the beaker
  4. Then put the hot water inside the beaker
  5. Then put 2 cm of hydroxide in the right tube
  6. Then put 2 cm of acid inside the left tube
  7. Then use the dropper to suck up the cabbage water
  8. Then drop the tinted water into the left tube
  9. Then drop the tinted water into the right tube
Result :
The left tube turned in to pink then the right one turned in to yellow

It was plane crash and it happened Nov 28th, 1979

What caused it, where it landed and where was it going.











1. Where was Flight 901 heading, and where was it planning to land? Air New Zealand Flight 901 left Auckland for a trip to Antarctica with 257 people on board. They were to fly over several islands, see McMurdo Station and Scott Base, and land in Christchurch after covering over 8,600 kilometres and flying for 11 hours.
2. What were the names of the pilot and co-pilot of Flight 901? Their names were Captain Jim Collins and co-pilot Greg Cassin
3. Why did the pilot ask to descend to 450 metres? The captain gained permission to descend to 450 metres, so his passengers could have a better view of the surroundings.
4. What reasons are given in the passage for why the crash occurred? At 12:49 PM, the 200-tonne plane crashed into the lower slopes of Mt Erebus and immediately burst into flames, killing all on board.

So only three life boats reached land

lifeboats were full?
The rest of the passengers had to jump off
5. Why were rescuers unable to get to the shore?
The rescue teams couldn't get through slips that blocked the roads so some people died on the shore

51 people have died from the Wahine disaster

Notes :
-566 passengers and 110 crew were safe
-Forty six bodies have been found and only six were missing
-Searching for missing bodies is to continue for the next 2 days at least, and mountain  clubs been asked to help tomorrow and on Saturday and possibly Sunday too

Making Sherbet

 Aim :

I want to find out how to make sherbet.

Method :
Equipment
  • Cup
  • Baking powder
  • Citric acid
  • Sugar ( Raro )
  • Popsicle stick
  • Tea spoon
Instructions : 
  1. Get your equipment
  2. Add a tea spoon of Raro into the cup 
  3. Add half of a tea spoon baking powder into the cup
  4. Add half of a tea spoon of citric acid into the cup
  5. Mix the powder with the Popsicle stick
  6. Taste the sherbet and adjust the flavour as necessary
Results :
The powder was sour, sweet, salty and it was foamy.

Citric acid  + sodium bicarbonate = carbon dioxide
